Rio Grande River (Portland)
The Rio Grande River flows between the Blue and John Crow mountains starting at a height of almost 3000 feet. It provides water for the capital city of Kingston, and all communities in the eastern third of Jamaica.
BLUE LAGOON
It is the most famous place in Portland. They say that the lagoon is bottomless and that a sort of dragon is hidden there. In the reality Blue Lagoon is an enchanting spot with blue deep water, a spring of fresh water and a well known restaurant where you can dine eating food served on banana leaves. Chicken, fish, lobster, spicy and grilled with a special taste and flavour. You must try the Blue Lagoon cocktail and you won't forget it!! In the day it is possible to take a dip from its platform or snorkle and get a boat ride. Live music on Sunday night.
Dunn's River Fall
Jamaica is blessed with water, including a number of cascading waterfalls that visitors can climb up. The most famous is Dunn's River Falls, near Ocho Rios on the north coast. Virtually all resorts in Jamaica offer tours to Dunn's River, and most visitors arrive by tour bus.
